The Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority (USPA) is aiming to deepen cooperation with the Netherlands
A delegation of the USPA headed by Mr. Rayivs Vetskagans (CEO) paid a visit to the Netherlands between 21st and 23rd of November 2017. The visit was organized by the Embassy of the Netherlands in Ukraine and the Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RVO). The Ambassador of Ukraine to the Kingdom of the Netherlands, Mr. Vsevolod Chentsov and the Embassy staff also took part in the event.
The key element of the program was the meeting of the management of the USPA with representatives of numerous business companies of the Netherlands, which are already present in the Ukrainian market, and also show interest in participating in the implementation of projects for the development of the port economy. During the event a presentation about the long-term plans of the Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority was given, also about the implementation of the Dnipro Development Initiative project. In turn, Dutch companies presented their profiles.
Van Oord Dredging and Marine Contractors BV have organized a visit to the Maasvlakte (unofficially called “Futureland”), the most modern part of the Port of Rotterdam, Europe's largest seaport, in order to present the existing achievements in the development of the port infrastructure.
An important part of the visit was the discussion with the representatives of the Port of Rotterdamon how to operate and manage a port, as well as the prospects for establishing cooperation, in particular the providing of technical and expert assistance to the USPA.
