ON THE OCCASION OF THE 28TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE INDEPENDENCE OF UKRAINE

Market
✓ Country market fair of the local products and groceries from Ukrainian manufacturers and farmers
✓ Delicious Ukrainian cuisine (borsch, varenyki, Crimean Tatar dishes etc)
✓ Ukrainian handicrafts (embroidery, pottery, wooden toys and much more)

Workshops and live performances

Masters of folk art will show and teach the traditional way of:
✓ making carpets and serviettes on the antique weaving machine
✓ carving wooden toys by traditional craftsmen
✓ making hand-made clay pottery on a real pottery wheel
✓ weaving a fresh flower/herbs wreath
✓ woodblock printing on textile

Fashion show ‘The voice of nature’
✓ Experimental performance showcasing Ukrainian contemporary artisan ethnic fashion and textiles

Music
✓ Unique Ukrainian songs by Dutch Lysenko Choir and Vocal group ‘Chervoni Korali’
✓ Fascinating folk songs and flaming Cossacks dances by Dutch folk group ‘Rusalka’ from Hengelo
✓ Special guest Veronika Morska, a young gifted winner of the TV show “Ukraine’s got talent 2017” and finalist of the Ukrainian music talent show “The Voice of Kids 2019”

✓ ‘Design Expedition ‘Land inspires’’ documentary about traditional Ukrainian crafts
✓ ‘In Spring’ (1929) experimental poetic documentary about Kiev, the city lyrically infused with the metamorphoses of nature

Program for kids including presentation of the Project ‘The Book of Kindness’ and other exciting activities for children

✓ Open air photo exhibition ‘Landscape of Oscillation’ a curated storyline of images showing various perspectives on Ukrainian landscapes
