On November 21, 2013 the Ambassador of Ukraine in the Netherlands Olexander Horin paid a working visit to the Dutch province of Drenthe.

Along the run of the visit the head of the diplomatic mission met with the King’s Commissioner Mr. Jacques Tichelaar, Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce of the Northern Netherlands Mr. Jacob Emmelkamp, CEOs and top-managers of the regional companies and organizations (Bioclear BV, Oosterhof-Holman, LED Factory Leeuwarden, Mueller Sales, Blancke Metaalbewerking BV, Koninklijke Metaalunie, Greenpoint Kwekerijen, Stichting Platform Samenwerking NL – Oekraïne, SNN), as well as made a presentation “Doing business in Ukraine”.

Within the framework of the regional journey the Ambassador also visited family Uiterwijk Farm in Loon

and Experimental Farm PPO/Wageningen University Research Institute ‘t-Kompas’ in Valthermond.

The number of practical arrangements concerning future development of cooperation between the province of Drenthe and Ukraine was achieved during the visit.
