The investigation continues and both parties will make every effort to make sure those guilty of this terrorist act are brought to justice.

Minister Koenders again condemned the illegitimate "elections" recently held in the Donbas and expressed full support for the Peace Plan of the President of Ukraine. The two Ministers stressed that it is the armed militants and the Russian Federation supporting them must, who first of all should be complying with the Minsk protocol provisions. Untill they do, Minister Kunders said, the Netherlands see no reason to retract the EU sanctions against Moscow.

The Hague is also enthusiastic about the Association Agreement between Ukraine and the EU entering into force soon, and is willing to provide an active expert support in bringing Ukraine's technical standards to those applied in the EU. The Parties welcomed the increase in bilateral trade and the Dutch investments in the Ukrainian economy – the trend that continued throughout 2014. According to them, Dutch businessmen retain a significant interest in the Ukrainian markets and it is important that politicians and diplomats promote that.

The Ministers also discussed cooperation between the two countries in international organizations, especially in the OSCE in the context of monitoring the situation in eastern Ukraine and the future of the ministerial meeting of the Organization.
