On November 18, 2014 the seminar "Market opportunities in the water sector of Ukraine" took place in the city of Rotterdam, the Netherlands.

The representatives of the Dutch companies currently doing or planning to launch their business in Ukraine, non-governmental organizations of the two countries, European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, Ministry of Infrastructure and Environment Netherlands, Dutch Embassy in Ukraine and the Embassy of Ukraine in the Netherlands took part in that event.

The issues of the social and economic development of Ukraine, its business climate, the current state and prospects of the water management system development, as well as a number of successful infrastructure projects implemented by the Dutch companies in Ukraine were discussed during the seminar.

The key thesis of the discussion vastly supported by the participants was the perception that despite the political, security and economic challenges that Ukraine faced now, its national market remained to be perspective for the development of trade, economic and investment cooperation, and that the potential of the Ukrainian-Dutch interaction in those areas was far from being exhausted.

The event resulted in the number of practical recommendations on the further deepening of the Ukrainian-Dutch cooperation in all areas, including the water sector development in Ukraine.
