Ministry of Finance of Ukraine delegation visits the Netherlands

On April 6-9 the Ukrainian delegation led by Deputy Minister of Finance Olena Makeieva visited the Netherlands. The Ukrainian delegation held negotiations with representatives of the Dutch Government on the revision of the current Convention for the avoidance of double taxation and prevention of fiscal evasion with respect to taxes on income and property.
The Parties agreed upon common approaches, the implementation of which will contribute to the current cooperation between Ukraine and the Netherlands to prevent the erosion of the tax base and tax evasion. It was agreed to continue contacts with the aim to adapt the provisions of the Convention to current economic realities. The Convention between Ukraine and the Netherlands on the avoidance of double taxation was signed in 1995.
The results of the negotiations demonstrate that the Government of the Netherlands is eager to continue fruitful economic cooperation with our state and considers Ukraine an important trade partner.
Over many last years the Netherlands has been among top 5 EU investors in Ukraine.
