The parties discussed the entry into force of the Association Agreement between Ukraine and the EU, as well as the completion of the approval of the EU’s decision on the visa-free regime for Ukrainians.

The interlocutors paid special attention to the situation in Donbas. Petro Poroshenko counts on further solidarity and unity of the EU in the issue of support for Ukraine’s territorial integrity, sovereignty and independence. In particular, he expects the EU to maintain sanctions against Russia until full implementation of the Minsk agreements and restoration of territorial integrity of Ukraine.

The parties coordinated joint actions on the investigation into the MH-17 tragedy caused by Russian militants in July 2014.
