On November 14 – 16, 2016 the yearly European Autumn Gas Conference (EAGC) devoted to “Rethinking European gas within the global energy mix” was held in The Hague, Netherlands.
The main speakers at the event were representatives of executive boards of the companies like «Shell Energy Europe», «Gasunie», «ENGIE», «GasTerra», «Schlumberger», «Total», «Hoegh LNG», «Statoil», «WINGAS GmbH», «Lambert Energy Advisory», as well as almost 50 world leading energy consortiums. “Gazprom” was intending to send out a high-level official for the event, but eventually cancelled his participation.
In the framework of the Conference its participants discussed the influence of economic and political factors on the current European gas supply market. The agenda also included the item of the gas supply routes to Europe. In this regard Ukraine was paid a special attention from the point of view of a transit nation.
The participants noted that without Ukraine it would be difficult to provide for stable gas supplies to Europe.
