On 17 November 2016 the annual NIDV Symposium & Exhibition was held in the AHOY exhibition halls in Rotterdam and is a unique event for professionals that covers the entire field of  defence and security. The event also highlighted the latest technological developments in that field. The key companies like "Thales Nederland BV", "FOX-IT", "Damen Schelde Naval Shipbuilding B.V.", "Motorola", "Rohde & Schwarz", knowledge institutes, the ministries involved and armed forces represented their innovative products in the field of Exhibition.

Representatives of the Embassy of Ukraine also attended in event and used this chance to inform the participants of the event on the prospects of making business in Ukraine and developing bilateral science and technical cooperation. In the result of these meeting it is possible to note that European companies have great interest in science, military and technical cooperation with Ukraine.
