The annual reception dedicated to the 26^th anniversary of the Independence of Ukraine took place ion September 26, 2017 in the castle Wittenburg.

The guests enjoyed the performance of prominent Ukrainian musician Vasyl Popadyuk. Delicious Ukrainian cuisine and masterclass of famous chocolatier Lviv Handmade Chocolate also created the festive atmosphere.

As a sign of gratitude for activities of Dutch charitable organisations in Ukraine President of Ukraine awarded Mr. Free Doomen, representative of Homico charitable organisation, with the Order of Merit. During the reception Ambassador of Ukraine Vsevolod Chentsov presented the award to Mr. Free Doomen and expressed gratitude to him for his longstanding humanitarian assistance to Ukraine.

The event was attended by the representatives of Dutch government bodies, business, scientific and cultural circles, diplomatic corps, as well as the representatives of Ukrainian community in the Netherlands.
