January, 15, 2012representatives of the Embassy of Ukraine in theKingdomofNetherlandsvisited the traditional New Year celebration organized by Ukrainian song and dance ensemble Rusalka inHengelo, on the east of theNetherlands.

Traditionally the main element of the event was the bright performance of the ensemble Rusalka which combined Ukrainian folk songs and dances as well as the elements of scenes of the Ukrainian village life. The guests also enjoyed the performance by the Byzantine choir Raduisya.

At the end of the cultural program guests tasted the Ukrainian borsch and other national dishes prepared by enthusiastic members of the ensemble Rusalka.

The event was attended by the residents of the region Twente, including Ukrainians, who live in the Eastern part of theNetherlands, and representatives of numerous humanitarian organizations and associations that cooperate withUkraine.
