A concert of the Dutch Lysenko Choir was held on January 17, 2013 at the Paleiskerk (The Hague), to promote Ukrainian musical culture abroad and as part of the 1025-anniversary of the Christianization of Kievan Rus'.
Dutch Lysenko Choir composes of the Dutch, who have been singing in Ukrainian and represent Ukrainian liturgical singing in the West over 40 years. Lysenko Choir is well known in the Netherlands performer of the Orthodox rite choral works, and they had performances in such countries as UK, Canada, Germany, the USA, Ukraine and many others.
Lysenko Choir was founded by the famous Ukrainian composer, musicologist, opera singer Miroslav Antonovich. Since 1997 the Choir conducted by Antonovich over 40 years got the name of famous Ukrainian composer Mykola Lysenko.
A solemn liturgy in honour of the Day of Unification and Freedom of Ukraine is sounded during the event.
