Art exhibition "Ukrainian Motives" in the Embassy
27 November 2020 12:00

Starting from November 10, the Embassy of Ukraine in the Netherlands is hosting a joint art exhibition "Ukrainian Motives".

The exhibition presents works by 5 Ukrainian artists from the Netherlands: Hanna Kaprosh, Kateryna Timofiienko, Yuliia Orlova, Tanja Renkas, Nataliya Vasylchenko-de Ruiter.

The works exhibit different artistic techniques and styles and are united by a common creative idea of love for Ukraine, its people, and picturesque landscapes.

Professional contemporary artist Hanna Kaprosh explores color and expression. She did multiple exhibitions across Europe, both personal and collective. She has a master's degree from the Lviv Academy of Arts.

Her works are shown in many collections in Switzerland, Belgium, Netherlands, Slovakia, China, Ukraine, Spain, and other countries. In the joint exhibition ”Ukrainian Motives,” Anna Kaprosh represents works "Hutsulochka" and "Bride."

Kateryna Tymofiienko works as an illustrator for children's books and loves to invent fairy-tale worlds, give life to the characters, delve into the book's atmosphere, and convey it with her drawings.

Personal exhibitions of her paintings were held in Kyiv and Zaporizhia. The exhibition in The Hague presents three works by the artist: "Vorokhta", "Mountain River", and "Spring Sky".

The artist was inspired to create these works by a harmonious combination of small huts with wooden fences on the hills against the backdrop of mountain landscapes in the Carpathian town of Vorokhta.

Yuliia Orlova combines art and mathematics in her works. While studying at the University of Amsterdam, she began to study the drying and degradation of oil paint using mathematical modeling.

Favorite art materials are watercolor and oil paint. At the exhibition, the artist presented two of her paintings, which reflect the memories of a trip to the Carpathians.

Tanja Renkas is a certified professional architect. After completing her studies at the Utrecht Academy of Arts, Tanja is engaged in fine arts. She participated in many exhibitions. The artist's works are in several private collections. Her paintings "Untitled", "Bouquet", and "Sunflowers” will be exhibited at the Embassy.

Love for her native land, where she spent her childhood and youth, stimulates the artist Nataliya Vasylchenko-de Ruiter to create paintings with Ukrainian landscapes and motifs. Painting for Nataliya is the embodiment of her emotions and feelings, her special inner world.

The artist participated in numerous exhibitions from the Kunst en Cultuur Academie in Maassluis, presented personal exhibitions in the library and museums of the city (Nationaal Sleepvaart museum en Gemeente museum Maassluis), exhibited at Monmartre Maassluis and in the pavilion of Ukraine at the Embassy Festival in Den Haag.
