We are happy to announce the start of the cooperation between the Central Bureau of Statistics of the Netherlands and the National Bank of Ukraine and the State Statistics Service of Ukraine !

Within the framework of the Group Sponsorship Program of the Ministry of Finance of the Netherlands, the Central Bureau of Statistics of the Netherlands in 2021 will provide technical assistance to the National Bank of Ukraine and the State Statistics Service of Ukraine in data processing and protection, data quality and management.

Ukraine is one of the constituency countries for the Netherlands at IMF, the World Bank and the EBRD. Through the above-mentioned Program, the Dutch Ministry of Finance provides support to constituency countries in carrying out reforms, especially in the area of public finance.

It’s a big advantage that the recognized world leader in statistical data - the Central Bureau of Statistics of the Netherlands will provide assistance to the State Statistics Service of Ukraine in reforming. 

The technical assistance program consists of the 6 projects to be carried out in 2021: 

• Statistical disclosure, open data format and use of AI to generate additional/alternative statistical information

• Using Small Area Estimation (SME) method to produce disaggregated and regionally granular statistics. 

• Implementation of the Classification of cargo types harmonized with the Classification system for transport statistics (NST 2007) into water transport statistics. 

• Organizational and methodological approaches used by the Central Bureau of Statistics of the Netherlands to compile the indicators of domestic and foreign statistics of enterprises that are under foreign control (FATS inward/outward) envisaged by EU regulation N 716/2007 of June 20, 2007 (with changes).

• Improvements to economic accounts for agriculture. 

• The mirror comparisons in statistics of foreign trade in goods between Ukraine and the Netherlands.
