The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba held bilateral talks with his Dutch counterpart Ben Knapen on the sidelines of the Meeting of the NATO North Atlantic Council in Riga.
Dmytro Kuleba thanked the Netherlands for its consistent support of Ukraine in countering Russian aggression: participation in the Crimean Platform's inaugural summit, assistance in demining territories in Donbas, and the treatment of several wounded Ukrainian soldiers who recently arrived in the Netherlands.
The Minister informed his Dutch counterpart about the increase of the Russian military presence in the temporarily occupied territories and along the state border of Ukraine, as well as of a comprehensive package of deterrence for Russia, which is designed to discourage Moscow from further aggressive actions.
Ben Knapen assured Dmytro Kuleba that the Netherlands strongly supports Ukraine's sovereignty and territorial integrity against the background of Russia's aggressive actions.
Dmytro Kuleba stressed Ukraine's readiness for further cooperation with the Netherlands, including taking all necessary legal measures to bring to justice those responsible for the downing of the MH17 passenger plane in July 2014.
