In the context of the celebration of the 30th anniversary of Ukraine's independence on September 14, the Embassy held a conference on "Ukraine's place in Europe: Achievements and Challenges after 30 years of Independence."
During the conference, professional discussions were held on urgent security and political issues for Ukraine, countering Russia's armed aggression against Ukraine and finding ways to peacefully resolve the situation in eastern Ukraine and the deoccupation of Crimea.
The discussion was attended by former Minister of Defense of the Netherlands Joris Voorhoeve, Ukrainian political scientist, professor of Kyiv-Mohyla Academy and scientific director of the Democratic Initiatives Foundation Oleksiy Garan, co-chair of the group for interparliamentary relations with the Netherlands, MP Andriy Zhupanyn, Senior Research Fellow at Clingendael Bob Deen and former First Deputy Chairman of the OSCE SMM in Ukraine Alexander Hug.
The event also included a meeting of the economic panel with the participation of representatives of DTEK B.V., JV "Galka Ltd.", Vanderlande and the Entrepreneurial Development Bank (FMO).
During the official reception, Ukrainian cuisine interpreted by Ukrainian chef Yevhen Klopotenko was presented, as well as products of Ukrainian producers (alcoholic beverages and confectionery).
