Ukraine lifted the entry ban for foreigners
From 28 September 2020 Ukraine lifted the entry ban for foreigners but certain restrictions still apply.
Depending of the number of cases of coronavirus and its dynamics the countries are divided into "red"" or "green" zones ( the list you can view here).
If a person travels from the "green zone"no restrictions are applied.
Please bear in mind that as of 27 November 2020 the Netherlands belongs to the "green zone".
If a person travels from "red zone"
There is a general requirement for self-isolation for all categories of travelers (citizens of Ukraine, foreigners and stateless persons).
The requirement for self-isolation does not apply to the following categories of persons unless there is reason to believe that they have been in contact with a person with COVID-19:
1) persons under 12 years;
2) persons arriving in Ukraine for the purpose of studying in higher education institutions;
3) persons who are citizens of countries with a significant spread of COVID-19 and have not been on the territory of these countries during the last 14 days or are in transit through the territory of Ukraine and have documents confirming that they will leave Ukraine within two days;
4) representatives of diplomatic missions, consular offices of foreign countries, international missions and organizations accredited in Ukraine;
5) drivers, crew members of cargo, vehicles, regular service buses, aircrew, crew members of sea and river vessels
6) instructors of the armed forces of the NATO member states and member states of the NATO "Partnership for Peace" program, who participate in the training activities of the units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine;
7) employees of the cultural institutions with one accompanying person, upon invitation;
8) individuals who transport transplantation material;
9) persons who have a negative result of testing for COVID-19 by PCR, which was carried out not more than 48 hours before crossing the border.
Please, bear in mind that all foreigners entering Ukraine are obliged to be in possession of health insurance covering explicitly COVID-19 related costs.
The requirement to provide such a insurance policy (certificate) of insurance does not apply to:
- foreigners and stateless persons permanently residing in Ukraine;
- persons recognized as refugees or persons in need of additional protection;
- representatives of diplomatic missions, consular offices of foreign countries, international missions and organizations accredited in Ukraine;
- instructors of the armed forces of the NATO member states and member states of the NATO "Partnership for Peace" program, who participate in the training activities of the units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
