During the visit to the Province of Zeeland Ambassador Vsevolod Chentsov met with the King’s Commissioner in the province, Mr Han Polman.

The parties discussed main topics of economic and investment cooperation. Vsevolod Chentsov highlighted that the Netherlands remains to be one of the largest investors into Ukrainian economy.

Mr Polman and Vsevolod Chentsov touched upon the development of transport infrastructure, in particular sea and river transport. Emphasis was placed on the importance of expanding Ukraine's water shipping, in particular the implementation of the Dnieper Development Initiative, which is being implemented with the support of the Dutch Government.

The parties expressed interest in developing regional cooperation between Kherson region of Ukraine and the province of Zeeland in the agriculture, aquaculture, waste management and sea shore cleaning.
