On 16 December 2025, the Ukrainian delegation led by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy paid a visit to the Kingdom of the Netherlands to participate in the Diplomatic Conference for the Adoption of the Convention Establishing an International Claims Commission for Ukraine.
The Conference was attended by leaders and high-level representatives from over 50 states, including the President of the Republic of Moldova, Maia Sandu, and the Prime Minister of the Netherlands, Dick Schoof. The Convention was signed by 34 countries and the European Union. On behalf of Ukraine, the document was signed by Minister of Foreign Affairs Andrii Sybiha in the presence of the President of Ukraine.
As part of the bilateral programme of the visit, President Zelenskyy had an audience with His Majesty the King Willem-Alexander of the Netherlands and held a meeting with Prime Minister of the Netherlands Dick Schoof. The President also addressed members of both chambers of the Parliament of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, and had a meeting with President of the Senate Mei Li Vos and President of the House of Representatives Thom van Campen.
The President visited Ukrainian servicemen undergoing rehabilitation at the Aardenburg Military Rehabilitation Centre and decorated them with state awards of Ukraine.
During the visit of UA delegation to the Netherlands, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Andrii Sybiha held meetings with Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Netherlands David van Weel and with members of the international expert group on Point 10 of the Peace Formula, “Confirmation of the end of the war,” at the Clingendael Institute. Together with Iryna Mudra, Deputy Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, Minister Andrii Sybiha also met with President of the International Criminal Court Tomoko Akane and ICC Registrar Osvaldo Giler.
