The OPCW International Training Course on emergency medical assistance for the victims of chemical incidents or attacks under Article X of the Convention on the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons started in Kiev

The OPCW International Training Courseonemergency medical assistance for the victims of chemical incidents or attacks under Article X of the Convention on the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (CWC) started in Kiev, Ukraine. The event was organized by National Authority of Ukraine on the CWC Implementation (Ministry of Foreign Affairs),the Ukrainian Scientific and Practical Center for Emergency and Disaster Medicine and P.L.Shupik National Medical Academy of Postgraduate Education.

More than 20 experts from 11 countries are participating in the training course. The Programme includes theoretical studies and field exercise focused on emergency medical assistance in case of injuries by toxic chemicals.

Mr.R.Nimchynsky, DeputyDirector-General for International Security and Disarmament, MFA of Ukraine, took part at the inauguration of mentioned event.

Annually holding ofthe OPCW activities in Ukraine is a practical step towards the development of cooperation with Organization.
