On April 4 2012H.E.Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Kostyantyn Gryshchenko met the MPs, members of the Committee on Foreign Affairs of the House of Representative (Second Chamber) of the Parliament of the Netherlands. Some members of the Dutch OSCE and CoE Parliamentary Assembly’s delegationsalso took part in this meeting.

In sincere discussion the Minister replied to the questions of the MPs regarding the internal political situation in Ukraine as well as regarding its foreign priorities.

The Minister especially underscored the importance of support of the EU visa liberalization for Ukrainian citizens from the part of the Dutch political elite. At the same time he stressed that the absolute majority of Ukrainians who visit EU do respect the European laws and cultural traditions and should be welcomed in the EU member states.

Apart from that, K. Gryshchenkoheld a meeting with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Netherlands Mr. U.Rozental.

Ministers of Foreign Affairs of Ukraineand the Netherlandshighly appreciatedthecurrent level and dynamic development of bilateral relations especially in the spheres of economic, trade and .investment. On April 2012 we celebrate the 20th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Ukraine and the Kingdom of the Netherlands.

The Parties discussed the perspectives of signing EU-Ukraine association agreement including the creation of deep and comprehensive free trade zone as well as crisis situation in the Middle East, in particular, in Syria.

Minister Gryshchenko invited U.Rozental to visit Ukraine at the nearest convenient time.
