Within the framework of the visitto the Netherlands on April 4 2012 H.E. Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine K.Gryshchenko visited the Headquarters of the Organization for the Prohibition ofChemical Weapons and the International Criminal Court.
During the meeting Minister K.Gryshchenko and the Director-General of the OPCW Ahmet Üzümcü discussed the current level of cooperation, existing problems and prospects of this international organization, as well as outlined the main spheres of cooperation.
In particular, the Parties noted the positive dynamics of relations and Ukraine's contribution to the OPCW’s activities by theuseof military-technical, scientific and technological potential of our State during the educational and training actions, as well as providing Ukrainian capabilities in case of emergency situations.
Apart from that, Minister K.Gryshchenko held a meeting with the President of the International Criminal Court judge Sang-Hyun Song.During the meeting the issues relating the recent activities of the Court were discussed. The Parties exchanged their views on prospective of Ukraine’s accession to this international institution.
The Minister stressed that Ukraine firmly supports the aims and the activities of the ICC.
