The Embassy of Ukraine in the Kingdom of the Netherlands strongly condemns the act of vandalism committed at the Sovjet Ereveld in Leusden.

We regard this act as an insult to the memory of the victims of the Second World War buried at the Sovjet Ereveld, among whom there are dozens of Ukrainians. Furthermore, we see this act as a deliberate provocation directed against Ukraine.

We hope that Dutch law enforcement authorities will act promptly and bring to justice those responsible for this crime.
